1. Statement of commitment

At Maxhu Exportadora we recognize that the success of our agricultural and export operations depends on mutual trust with our surroundings. We formally commit to respecting the rights, lands, resources, territories, livelihoods and food security of the indigenous peoples and local communities where we operate.

To guarantee this respect, we adopt the principle of Free, Prior and Informed Consent (FPIC) as the guiding axis of our community relations before starting any activity that may impact their rights or environment.

2. Definition of basic principles

Maxhu Exportadora will apply FPIC under the following four pillars:

Every dialogue process will be carried out without coercion, intimidation, manipulation or conditional financial incentives.

Prior

Consent will be sought sufficiently in advance of the execution of any project, respecting the community's own decision-making timelines.

I

Informed

We will provide transparent, objective, timely and accessible information about the scope, risks and benefits of our activities, translated into local languages if necessary.

C

Consent

We will seek a mutual and legitimate agreement through a good-faith decision-making process, respecting their traditional governance structures (such as ejido or communal assemblies).

3. Scope of application

This policy is mandatory for all Maxhu Exportadora personnel, as well as for our contractors and key suppliers, in the following scenarios:

Acquisition, lease or use of new land for vegetable cultivation.
Use of shared resources, especially water sources and community roads.
Operational expansion plans that may modify the landscape or local livelihoods.

4. Governance: implementation and follow-up by the Joint Commission

To ensure the proper execution of this policy and to report directly to General Management, the Joint Commission is designated as the official internal body and representative of senior management.

Its powers and responsibilities include:

Direct representation: acting on behalf of and representing General Management in all dialogue forums, negotiations and consultations with local communities.
Implementation: designing and coordinating action plans so that FPIC is applied across the company's operational, agricultural and legal areas.
Follow-up and oversight: monitoring ongoing compliance with the agreements signed with the communities and periodically evaluating the social impacts of the operation.
Evidence for audits: keeping assembly records, meeting minutes and attendance logs organized to demonstrate the company's due diligence to external auditors.

5. Operating process for cooperative dialogue

The Joint Commission will ensure that every interaction with the communities follows these steps:

Stakeholder mapping: early identification of neighboring communities and their legitimate representatives.
Open dialogue forums: initial informative meetings with a focus on cooperation, active listening and mutual respect.
Shared impact assessment: joint analysis of how pickling or farming operations could affect or benefit food security and water in the area.
Formal agreements: signing clear agreements detailing the commitments of both parties and the mechanisms for mutual benefit.

6. Mechanism for questions, complaints and response times

We establish a direct, accessible and secure communication channel managed by the Joint Commission. In the event of any question, concern or complaint raised by community members, the company commits to acting under a strict principle of promptness and constructive dialogue within the following time frames:

Initial follow-up response: once the notification is received, the Joint Commission will issue an acknowledgment of receipt and initial contact to confirm reception of the case immediately.
Formal and conclusive response: the Joint Commission will investigate, evaluate and deliver a formal written position or solution to those affected within no more than 28 hours from the time of the original report. If the complexity of the case requires it, the opening of a priority dialogue forum with General Management will be announced within this same period.

7. Monitoring and auditing

This policy will be reviewed annually by the Joint Commission and General Management to ensure it remains current with international human rights and agricultural sustainability standards.

This policy is issued for immediate application, public consultation and presentation in the corresponding external audit processes.
